- Raid battles are now updated to Tera Raids from Scarlet and Violet. (Big update)
- Each raid is a private battle: you plus 3 NPC allies, and friends or guildmates can join your lobby and take an NPC’s place.
- Raids come in 1★ to 7★ ranks, with a 10-minute timer, Tera shields, the Tera Orb and cheers.
- You catch the boss at the end, and it keeps its Tera Type.
- All of today’s raid types become Tera Raids.
- Toxic now works different to protect quick raid sweeps.
- You can bring only one Pokémon with you, once fainted you can help cheering your allies, giving them a small boost getting through the raid.
How Tera Raids work:
- The boss is Terastallized: it takes damage as its Tera Type only, and its moves of that type hit hard. Bring something super effective against it.
- Everyone acts on their own — no waiting for turns. The boss answers every move, and NPC allies fight alongside you.
- Attacking charges your Tera Orb. When it's full, tick Terastallize before a move: your Pokémon becomes its own Tera Type and its moves of that type get a big boost.
- From 4★ the boss raises a Tera shield partway through — barely any damage gets through until it's broken. Terastallized attacks break it fastest; when it shatters the boss takes a heavy blow.
- Each trainer has 3 cheers: Go all-out! (stronger attacks), Hang tough! (less damage taken) and Heal up!
- A Pokémon that faints comes right back, but the timer loses 30 seconds. Run out of time and the raid fails.
- Every win pays yen. You can catch the boss once per crystal — it keeps its Tera Type, comes at the raid's level with guaranteed perfect IVs, and a Gigantamax event catch has the G-Max Factor.
